Quality and Environmental Future Actions

NUTROMAR S.A® is currently devoted to the implementation of a Quality and Management Integrated System, aiming at  getting the corresponding ISO 9001 and 14001.
As far as the environmental impact is concerned, this last regulation ensures the evaluation of Sustainable Development and Environmental Quality. At the same time, a constant evaluation is required in order to measure its performance.

 Protection of the Environment

NUTROMAR S.A® makes every effort to protect the water resources during production, renovation and movement of water, minimizing the possibilities of generating degrading processes.
NUTROMAR S.A® is well aware of the fact that due to human activity water resources can easily be altered, resulting in a product which is far from natural. It is therefore necessary to create a new culture, capable of protecting and using wisely this vital resource all over the world. 

Taking this into consideration  NUTROMAR S.A® values and cherishes the natural conditions of the plot. The geography, the low population density

and the weather conditions are favourable for the country's environment because of its rainfall, strong winds and the vast amount of water resources.

Uruguay has two underground water reserves of paramount importance.

One is the aquifer Guarani, considered the second most important in the world and shared with Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.Uruguay has 5000 square kms from a total emerging surface of 100.000 square kms.which must be preserved to mantain the excellent quality of our waters. According to an investigation carried out by Yale University and Columbia University from the USA , Uruguay has the third place in a ranking of forty-six countries which assesses the Environmental Sustainability.
