In June, 2004 a geological study was carried out
with a view to evaluating the possibilities of extracting mineral water from the
aquifer in the property.
This study showed that the mineral water contained in the aquifer which is the
source of the natural springs situtated near the
Well 1, was ideal for human consumption.
Further analysis showed that the mineral water
extracted from Well 1 had a standard quality which falls into the parameters
required by FDA-USA for mineral waters.
Taking into considaration these studies, it
was decided to start the extraction in Well 1. A industrial plant was built
following the objectives set for the first investment stage,consisting of a
bottling plant to produce mineral water for export.
After doing a thorough market reseach a
further step was taken. New studies were carried out to determine the
possibilities of the estate to sustain a project of greater magnitude.
Once again, there were excellent results which
encouraged the opening of a new well. The mineral water extracted from Well 2
proved to be of the same quality as the first one. This allowed us to extract
a larger amount of water. A new important investment was made to buy cutting
edge machinery. With this new asset we have become a model plant in the country
and the region, being able to bottle 5000 l per hour following international
regulations.
